Infographic: Social Media Use Among Adults
Using social media is a way of life for most American adults, according to a recent survey conducted by Pew Internet Research.
But should you be on every social media site?
Studying the infographic, those most likely to use Twitter are adults ages 18-29.
AND according to an infographic published on Entrepreneur.com in June 2013, “…40 million more women visit Twitter than men.”
So, if your ideal customers and prospects are women ages 18-29, then Twitter is a perfect place for you to share information, and market your products and services.
Achieve Maximum Marketing Resonance
Consumers are more sophisticated than ever, and they are better able to filter out information that either doesn’t pertain to them or is uninteresting.
However, consumers are always looking for pertinent information that will help them be better, smarter, healthier, and more successful.
The secret to achieving maximum marketing resonance and profitability is:
1. Give people what they they want. Not a 100% sure what your customers really want? Try taking a survey of your best clients and find out what they love about your product or service, and how you can improve their experience. Then create posts, emails, and marketing materials around that information.
2. Skip the company or industry jargon, and write content in the way that your clients and prospects talk about your product or service.
3. Post only on the social media sites that they use. It’s easy to get distracted by the variety of social media sites out there. But spreading your resources too thin is ineffective and inefficient.
Remember, marketing isn’t about persuading someone to buy something they don’t want or need. Marketing is all about resonating with your ideal clients beliefs, values, and desires.
Cheers!
